Description: Lovely mini ambrotype of a boy from a family of wealthy means. He also has an umbrella and topknot hairstyle (chonmage). Complete kiri wood case, with case inscriptions that reads: Taken June 1877 (Meiji '10), in Sendo-cho, Otsu. Also the name of the boy, Nishimura. Condition of case and image is excellent.
