Photograph showing a Japanese ski slope, presumably in the Japan Alps near Nagano. On the reverse of this photo is an inscription with the title, technical information, and signature. Glossy gelatin silver print, mid 1950s.

Hiroshi Shimada was known to be active during his days as a university student in the mid to late 1950s. He was from Ueda City, in Nagano prefecture and photographed mountain and seaside views. He was also a member of the Ueda Shashin Club (Ueda Photography Club). It is not known what became of him after he graduated from college.

Condition: Very good.
